When we decide to re-furbish a unit, we take them down to the side frames and inspect, thoroughly clean, replace parts as needed (always soft ink and water rollers if its a press), adjust, and re-assemble. This process can take a long time but experience has taught us that when you physically inspect and clean every square millimeter of something inside & out, you can find items of concern and rectify them before they become failures. The shop isn't pretty when we do this, but the equipment sure is when its done. Here are some some sample photos of recent refurbishing performed.
